PMT admixtures are unique in their ability to completely waterproof concrete through the entire matrix. The water beading on this sliced cross section of a core sample effectively demonstrates this. This is a superior alternative to waterproof coatings that eventually wear off or fail under pressure.

 

Colored concrete is especially vulnerable to efflorescence. White efflorescence stains that appear on the surface of set concrete after water comes in contact with it will ruin the appearance of colored concrete. Since PMT admixtures chemically react and utilize calcium hydroxide during hydration, there is virtually no remaining calcium hydroxide to leach out in the form of efflorescence. This sample has no sign of efflorescence after years of contact with water.
